Frank Mastromarino, 79, of Englishtown died Sept. 8 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived there until moving to English-town 38 years ago. Mr. Mastromarino was a truck driver for The Racing Form in Hight-stown before retiring in 1996. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the European Theater of Operations and participated in the Battle of the Bulge, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns, receiving the Purple Heart. He was a member of American Legion Post 54, Freehold. Mr. Mastromarino is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, Frank Jr. of English-town; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ed Zachmann of Freehold; two brothers, Vito of Barnegat and John of Staten Island, N.Y.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Harold Sherman of Massapequa, N.Y., and Lily Gou-vernel of Jackson; two grandchildren; and sev-eral nephews and nieces. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memo-rial Cemetery, Arnytown. The Freeman Man-alapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
